He walked towards the wall and sat down, his back against it. He looked at his companions. They were silent and thoughtful. Perhaps some of them felt the same. They all had families, had friends, had things and people they loved. Now it was all gone. ALL of it. Nothing remains but themselves. A fresh start for all of them...why did this come to be?
Giavoni. Yes. The root of it all. Giavoni and their folly experiments, their quenchable thirst for power for money. Their greed ruined it all, and yet now they sit comfortably in underground vaults with who they find to be the necessary parts of mankind with them, showing no remorse, facing no consequence of their actions. Oh yes, they just left us out here to die, and WE have to find that accursed countermeasure and clean up for what they had done that they do not regret. Why do we have to do this? Might as well put a bullet in our head and end this nightmarish misery.
