Sanders chuckled and sniffed his own armpit. A look of disgust came over his face. He cleared his throat. “Yeah...I think you were right.” They busted into laughter.

“Why is it so cold? Surely it is not winter? Has the time difference become that large?”
“I am not sure what time we now are in, for in each place it is now different. The chill, though, I believe is because the lack of solar radiation. The dust cloud blocked and reflected much of the sunlight, so less heat is able to reach the surface. It will only grow colder with time, I fear.” Emmerich answered from the front.
“So...” Hunter asked Emmerich, “where are we headed? Can you still recognize the place after all that has happened? And are they still there?”
