“Lights on. Point to that thing first.” Emmerich ordered. Three clicks sounded and the budge was lit by three beams of concentrated light.
“What...” Hunter’s voice trailed away.
Karrson saw, as the lights revealed its true shapes to them, that the budge was indeed, as Hunter had guessed earlier, a human body. Yet the head was oddly swollen and large, the skin gray, like the dust.
“Mutated...by Distortion Radiation. But here the radiation is not strong enough to have caused such serious conditions...this is horribly strange...” Emmerich said in fear. “Still, we must advance. Be wary! We do not know how many D.L.s there may be in the darkness!”
