They continued on, walking in the corridors lit with dim emergency lights and red alarm lights. They rounded a few turns, and eventually Emmerich halted again. They were at a pair of sliding doors, with signs pointing to it reading “transportation center”. Through the framed glass doors the large room behind it came into view partially, dark and silent as all that they have seen. They waited while Emmerich attempted to open the door, which malfunctioned due to the lack of power.
“Elevators, trams, stairs, all of those, this is their meeting point. You could get to nearly every sector in this facility, if you have enough clearance. But it is likely that we will have to rely on our weary feet, for I think most of the electrics are down.” Emerich told them.
