Karrson and Hunter nodded and got off the car. As Karrson stepped out, he felt that the rain earlier had become a storm. Rain fell in torrents, the dust fell with it, and wind howled in his ears. Luckily the hazmat suite was water-proof, he would have been trenched now. He used the car door as cover, and set the barrel if his rifle on the rear-view mirror. Hunter came to his side, also taking cover behind the door, but aimed from the other end of the door. He found the creature’s slender torso through his optic, the small L-shaped cross-hairs set at the center of its body, only the width of a young tree.
