“I shall bet you my rifle that this river was not here before.” Hunter said, as he came up beside him. “How are we gonna cross this? We may still pick up the path if we searched on that farther side. I think the path went this way, but it is older than this...place.”
“It’s like someone shoved a river into this fill and cut it apart.” Sanders said, as he kicked a stone off into the dark gloom.
“Maybe that is what this is,” Clark said. “Distorted, and then moved from its original place into this unlucky hill.”
