They climbed into the car again when done. The bag of weapons were placed out of sight in the boot.
When they returned to the road, Karrson noticed that he could now see a white wall surrounding the area he knew must be Ground Zero. It seemed to be some thirty meters tall. There were thick buttresses at the bottom of the wall, opening only into a depression at the place where the road that they were on came to an abrupt end at a pair of enforced metal gates. Givoni guards stood vigilant on a platform built about the waist of the wall. At a certain distance apart, a window opened on the wall for machine gunners who were stationed there to fire. The wall and a belt of the land before it were lit brightly lit by multiple searchlights, scanning the earth alert.
