Just a bet
Childe watched her go, a grin of assured victory on his lips. He’d have her eating out of his palm in no time. “See you tomorrow, Lumi!!” Wait… was she… was she WALKING all the way to the Arcades?!
He almost called out to her. It was on the tip of his tongue, but he knew she would say no. After all of that, he was lucky she took his bag. ‘Well, not my problem now. I don’t need to bother myself if it won’t score me any points.’ It was really too bad because the sky overhead looked ready to burst at any second.
Childe chose to ignore his friends, both of them laughing at him being thrown to the ground as well as him having to hug the sack of frayed garbage just to keep his stuff together. Instead, he just went to the student parking lot. Rows upon rows of cars from all makes and models lined the concrete area. Most were normal looking but a few, like his, stood out.
