“I feel so exposed like this, you know, without cover. Anything can see us.”
“And we can see anything, well, some of them, anyway. We should not blind ourselves.”
“Fine.”
Sanders rose. “Ya know, it ain’t really easy sleeping when two guys are shouting besides you. Wel it is about my shift anyway. Wake Clark for me before you two sleep.”

Karrson dropped off to sleep the moment his head touched the ground. He was, indeed, much too weary. No dreams, just blackness. Good, he had had enough of those appalling and strange dreams.
Somebody shook him awake. He rubbed his bleary eyes. It was Emmerich, who had already geared up, though it was still dark. Everything was still quiet, and the others lay asleep about him.
