Karrson stared at the pass road lit by the front lights. He know how important he and his errand has become, but he still felt like that same ordinary student he was when he woke up in the morning. He suddenly realized that only one day had passed. It felt like a lifetime to him, and in the rhythmic rolling of the car and the hypnotizing pounding of the now heavy rain on the car windows, his weariness drew him into sleep.
A warm dream.
Suddenly bright lights pierced his eyelids. He woke with a start.

Ground Zero loomed ahead.
