Karrson approached the windows, trying for a moment to ignore the pained sounds from the people that were being hoisted onto stretchers. As he got closer, he finally understood how the tears on the first-aid workers’ clothes came to be, and why the wounds were so horrible to behold:
Suspended glass shards, in the air, covered in blood. Some were as sharp as knives, if not more.
He tried to remove one of them, but it simply would not budge, despite his growing force upon it. If these shards were frozen in place right after the blast, than at that time they would be right inside the bodies of the people who stood by the window, and while they would not move, the people were all knocked over. That meant the shards teared through their bodies. The very thought chilled his heart.
