“How come they know where Dr. Kater is? I thought only you did.”
“Exactly. They do not.”
“Then...”
“Why else would they search for us? Do you not see, that they want us to lead them there? They spared our lives just so we could help them find what they require.”
“Then our crash, that was another of their of their deeds?”
“Perhaps, I know not for sure.”
“Then what are we to do? We cannot afford to take another detour to lose them, and if we go to Dr. Kater, his location will be compromised.”

“Then we shall have to beat them to it, and try our best to lose them or destroy their pursuit. No more detours.”
“Then all depends on this?”
Emmerich nodded silently. Karrson fell back, and marched alongside Hunter.
“Whatever they are gonna send after us,” Karrson said, “it should not be aimed at killing us, at least. That is more or less of a comfort I guess. I just hope we we can find something at the source of this hideous river.”
“No, I would not be too sure about that. Emmerich is the one they need, not us. We don’t know the way to this so-called Weathertop, he does.”
