The Pathless on Paths---------Chapter III Part 2(5)

He was on his way back to the dorms under orders when he came alone into a dimly lit corridor. He saw two dark shapes neigh twenty meters away, posed as if speaking to each other. The taller one seemed to be wearing a suite of well tended military uniforms, and an dark blue armband told him that this man is in fact an officer. The shorter stature he found familiar.
“Look, I am in a hurry right now, and I have no time to listen to your bullshit, the coms center has been down ever since we got here, and failing to receive orders is gonna get us into deep shit. I have to get this solved, go bother someone else, and jump outta the way.” The officer was obviously enraged, and as he pushed the shorter man out of his way his face came into the light. It was Mr. Noah, looking abashed and frustrated at the receding back of the stomping officer. Karrson was now very much intrigued, and curiosity drove him towards the old man, who now looked to be in deep thought and had taken no notice of the approaching student.

“Um, Mr. Noah, you don’t very well.”
Mr. Noah nearly jumped: “Arrrah! Oh, it’s you. Wait. How much did you hear?”
