“Can’t relate.” An excess of air rushed out of my nose in some semblance of a laugh. I noticed that Jordan had cracked a smile, too, though he kept his eyes glued to the road. The windshield wipers were moving at full speed, and the crashing sound of buckets of rain battering against the glass was eerily peaceful.
“Is she your only sibling?” he asked curiously.
“Yeah,” I said. “Though at times she acts more like a third parent.”
“I can only imagine.” He laughed lightly.
