‘I let Alberto stay at the edge of the amusement park for a reason. To watch whether the outsiders who seek to trespass on this world wish to bring someone out. Someone who should die in the explosion. But it seems that this mission is, in fact, as grave as I told you it would be.’
‘But we would have done our best, wouldn’t us?’ Cecy demanded, ‘Maybe we didn’t succeed in stopping the plans of the opposite side, but we tried, very hard too.’
Lydia didn’t reply, and when she finally looked up, she was smiling, the smile natural, as if she had not been anxious at all a moment before, ‘So you will be staying with us, you’ve decided?’
Cecy realized that she had miscalculated what the other’s goal was, and felt confused for a second before she sighed, ‘Yes.’
