《战鹰》的作者后记（白色伤疤部分）(8)

就像Shiban Khan说的，在第一部描写白色伤疤军团的中篇小说，就是发生在荷鲁斯叛前的大远征故事所描绘的；
'I sometimes imagined how I would feel if we ever came up against a foe we could not defeat, where nothing remained but to fall back, again and again, weakening further with every encounter, watching the lifeblood slowly drain out of those around us as the noose tightened. I hoped and believed that I would do as they did, and keep fighting.' 
That sentiment was the one that I used to guide everything I ever wrote about them.

这思绪感染着我，伴随我在创作关于他们的故事时的全过程。
I hope that the younger Shiban would have been proud of how his Legion acquitted themselves when the test finally came about.
我希望年轻的Shiban会为他的军团在最终考验到来时的表现而感到自豪。
I also hope that readers who followed his journey all the way from Chondax to Terra will feel the same way,
我也希望追随他从Chondax到Terra的旅程的读者也会有同样的感受。
