They were standing in a pathway, with flowers on either side, trees, and a market in the distance. Unlike the desolate amusement park, they had gone through, this place was teeming with people of all ages. As Cecy looked around, two children ran past her, one chasing the other. They were both barely the height of her waist, and their laughter rang like silver bells as they vanished into the distance, the loose dust kicked up by their soles swirling around them.
They didn’t seem to notice the three people who have just Appeared from thin air, and instead several grown-ups waved at them politely, and one came up to talk.
Judging from his posture, the stranger was in his sixties. A pair of sunglasses was plopped carelessly upon his forehead, and his wrinkled face looked very friendly. ‘Travellers, huh?’ He said, ‘I haven’t seen yuh before.’
