Cecy had only been there for a short while compared to her companions, yet she already felt the coldness of isolation creeping up on her, nagging at her sometimes in her sleep. Knowing that she was alone, except for the two people who trained and talked with her.
If she remained here for much longer, her life would become more tightly intertwined with the boy and girl beside her than with her friends in her old life. She would not be able to throw away the only warmth she had, leave behind the only connection to others of her kind.
