Chapter Six(20)
‘It’s not a pen, it’s a brush.’ Cecy felt obliged to point out.
‘It doesn’t matter.’ She said brusquely, and as Cecy handed the brush over, she studied it with some surprise. ‘This is not the brush he usually uses.’ She said, and then shook her head. ‘I can open the pathway all right. But that’s an exception.’
‘Don’t try to teleport here again. This is a warning. I won’t help you next time, and you cannot go back again on your own.’
Did she realize that she was pushing Cecy further and further onto the option of simply ditching unconscious Will and returning to her home? Cecy didn’t even remember why she had decided to go back. Home was so close, just in her reach——
And why should she give up comfort and sacrifice a chance to return to her home, when she might not be able to come here unless she wished a dangerous knife-wielding girl on her tail? Couldn’t she just call the cops, or the ambulance, and get rid of the boy she barely knew?
