‘You know that it doesn’t matter, do you?’ Said Alice suddenly, and bit her lip hard enough to draw blood. She hesitated, then seemingly unable to control herself, plowed onward. ‘It doesn’t matter if you visit your relatives right now or you do so after you go on a dozen missions. Because time doesn’t flow the same way in the Capsule. It’s an independent time line, and you can travel to any time that you wish, providing that you learn how to do it in the first place.’
Cecy felt like her understanding had reached its limit for the last time.
Probably seeing her expression, Alice said bitterly. ‘You asked for it, you know. Stop trying to get answers from me. Take your mind off me. I’m leaving if you are not. Have already wasted enough time on this trifling tiny matter.’ She made as if to turn away.
‘Wait!’ Cecy cried. ‘I’m sorry for......whatever you think I’m capable of! Which by the way I can’t do anyway! Just, please, help us——’
She could almost hear Alice sigh as she turned back towards her. ‘You can just try to leave this place. With or without him. Or stay here. I would strongly advise you leave though. Your talent is too unpredictable, and you will frighten those around you if you don’t.’
