But though this memory was shown so clearly (at least more clearly than the others she had gathered so far), she hadn’t bothered to process it. Perhaps she had guessed that it was her staring up, perhaps she hadn’t. Perhaps she could have felt sad, shocked, or at least something about this whole ordeal. Yet her eyes remained blank, unfocused, despite the memory that she was witnessing. A memory meant only for her, from this specific world instead of another; this should have at least caught her attention, this should have been enough to make her realize. Yet, instead, she looked at it without truly paying much attention. Instead of that, she closed her eyes, not wanting to deal with this any longer, not even realizing the world of glass surrounding her was falling apart. And she stopped thinking.

And a girl stares up into an empty sky, her mind ended, and thus her story along with it.
