再次抬头时已不复之前的冷傲，仿佛第一次用正眼在看这个贸然来访的中国人。
"You are saying that someone is trying to frame me?"（你是说有人在试图陷害我？）
路垚点头："Do you have any enemies in Shanghai, my Lord?"（伯爵大人，您在上海有敌人吗？）
斯宾塞放下酒杯，抿紧了唇："Loads, most likely. Most of them unbeknownst to me."（估计很多，大多数是我不知道的。）
察觉到对方在思考，路垚没有开口。片刻后，斯宾塞缓缓道："There is one… have you heard of Mr. Norman?"（倒是有一位……你知道诺曼先生吗？）

路垚挑眉，是真的很意外："I am acquainted with him."（我认识他）
斯宾塞摆了摆手：“Norman and I go back a long ways. We were at Eton together; didn’t get along even then. A few years ago, there were some… business matters that unfortunately put us at cross-purposes. I came out on top in the end. I doubt Norman has ever forgiven me for it.”（我跟诺曼认识很多年了。我们在伊顿公学是同窗，那时就不对付。几年前，不幸的是，有一些业务问题使我们处于对立面。最终我更胜一筹，而诺曼估计一直怀恨于心。）
