‘I told you she is fast,’ she said to a boy trudging slowly towards the pair of them. Alberto. ‘You need to put more effort into your training, or she will catch up.’ 
‘No, she won’t,’ Alberto said, eyeing Cecy’s hand for some reason. She looked down. Blood was splattering from the fingers on her right hand. With a shriek, Cecy dropped the dagger that she was holding. Her left hand itched to grasp at her right, but she stopped herself.
