Grindelwald is a successful lobbyist, in terms of no matter his concern on wizards’ future welfare, but also his declaration of love…well, in a private way. He can talk to as many people into trusting him as he can and disfunction their judgment and sentiment. Dumbledore thought, what he and Grindelwald shared– a close bond- turned out to be Grindelwald’s natural talent. A man, born with charm, has the birthright to cast Charms on others, flawlessly, and he didn’t even need much of teaching.
Albus learnt a great deal from him, which perhaps the only thing– well, beyond his extradinary beauty and talent– that Albus has till this day, still unfortunately prized. Perhaps memories in addition…but they taste hardly sweet when thinking about cost.
He often questioned himself, having not met with Grindelwald, what the Erised Mirror would show. Probably nothing, how can a courteously brilliant man like him have sins to confess. Man feels desire when he knows about loss, now, meeting Grindelwald is the beginning of this journey.
