At this moment, nothing other than survival mattered; but for me, the tamer of the giant beast, surviving was not an honorable option, well, nor the opposite. With this clarity in mind, I stopped fighting for life; I stopped fighting; I simply stopped.
此时此刻，除了生存，什么都无所谓了。但对我这个巨兽的驯兽师，活下来不是个光荣的选择，可另一条路也不是。想通了这个，我就停止了挣扎，停了挣扎，停了。

… just before I sank and passed into my own slumber, I suddenly thought of something. I opened my eyes, hurriedly searching for any sign of the newly-weds with whom I’d had a lovely talk in the ocean breeze when everything was still alright.
