Karl Marx
Philosophy is the summary and foresight of the laws of society and nature. Both ancient and modern philosophers have brought to mankind an endless wealth of thinking that has enabled him to find the true answers in his search for truth and thus the right path to follow. Karl Marx, a German-born Jewish philosopher and revolutionary socialist, published works such as the Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital, which form the basis of Marxism. Marx was a relatively obscure figure until his death because his Jewish identity and passion for politics led to being stripped of his citizenship and thus having to drift around during his lifetime, but his ideas and Marxist thought began to have a major impact on the socialist movement soon after his death.
