She couldn’t unravel the strands of emotion she felt, black string like fear and sky-blue string like relief, so many tangled together she couldn’t sought them out individually.
And she had never experienced so many twist and turns of emotion in such a short period of time. She had always known what she wanted, and simplified her feelings as much as she could even back when she was early in her teens, so what exactly happened?
