’ she thought to herself.
She was tired of searching around and finding nothing helpful and she was tired of being stuck in this stupid situation. She wanted to go to sleep, to stop thinking about these things, to just rest for one single moment. So, in the end, that’s what she decided she should try. She placed her head on the ground, using her red beret as a kind of pillow. A place with gravel, dirt, bugs and flowers was not the ideal resting place, that was for sure, but Hikari would manage. She never actually got to sleep on a bed like she had seen so many people do in those memories. So, laying down on the ground, Hikari closed her eyes.
In a couple of minutes, the young girl was already fast asleep.
She woke up to the sound of something dropping into the water. It sounded like something small and light. She remembered, at that moment, that she had fallen asleep in the forest. But why could she hear the sound of things plopping into water? Was there a lake nearby? The young girl got up and began searching; perhaps she would find something that could finally quench her thirst. She heard more sounds coming from nearby, some louder than the others; she followed them, curious as to what was there, hoping that perhaps she could find something. The sounds grew louder and louder as she followed them and, every once in a while, she heard a couple of words; ‘Yes!’ or ‘Come on!’ were said in the voice of a young boy. Was there a piece of Arcaea there? Had she finally found something she could be familiar with after all this time? Curious to answer the questions she had, she followed the sounds, picking up her pace as time went on. She chased the noises she heard until she reached her destination.
