So that’s what she did.
It’s been some time since she found herself in the forest. Not too long, but still quite some time. Her clothes were still uncomfortable, her legs were sore from walking. Her neck began feeling coarse, dry, as if it were made of sandpaper; she began feeling a kind of emptiness in her abdomen, one she hadn’t felt before. She was probably quite thirsty and hungry, she figured, but why would she be? She hadn’t been feeling these kinds of things up until now. Just what was going on with her? And where was she? There was no more glass to be found, no familiar looking structures, no guide, no knowledge, no nothing. She was stranded in unfamiliar, completely different territory, tired and hungry, mad at the situation she was in.
The girl leaned against a tree, tired from walking and running and searching for so long. She looked up at the cloudy sky; the rain had already stopped by now and the sky had begun to clear, splotches of light appearing between masses of gray. The trees lightly swayed in the presence of a light breeze, carrying the scent of rain. She looked around the forest. Birch trees surrounded by green moss was what made most of it. The ground was still a bit wet and slippery, but it had begun to dry. How long had she been walking for, anyway? Thinking about this and her predicament, Hikari let out a deep sigh and began searching yet again. For what? She didn’t know. She only hoped she could find something that would help her.
