At the point of first dispute between Harry and Draco, it was mentioned that Scabbers (or Peter Pettigrew) bite into Goyle’s knuckle. Then, he was swung onto and hit the windows. If the window was opened at the time, would Scabbers survive the fall from a fast-moving train? If that occurs and he didn’t make it, then perhaps Sirius Black would never have escaped from Azkaban and died regretfully. I believe Voldemort’s resurrection, on the other hand, is inevitable. His other faithful servants, such as Barty Crouch Junior will always seek him out.
