With a sudden fear in my mind, I rushed to the duty office. The doctor was looking downstairs with both hands on the windowsill.
“Doctor, I am a friend of little Harry in 17 bed. Excuse me……”
The doctor on duty pointed downstairs with his finger. “I’m looking at it, too. I heard that the patient was missing last night and drowned in the pond at the door of the rehabilitation clinic this morning.”
I felt like I was spinning around, throwing gifts and heading for the rehabilitation clinic.
The pond was surrounded by doctors, nurses and family members of the patients, and I heard a cry across the crowd. I pushed the crowd aside, showed the policemen my card, lifted the warning tape and walked to the pond.
