But Luther’s hands were clean and slack.
We conducted a systematic autopsy of Luther in silence. In addition to the sings of drowings found in the body surface examination, Luther had visceral congestion, the color of blood in the left and right hearts was inconsistent, pulmonary dedma had crepitus. Sediment and weeds were found in the trachea. There was a lot of drowning fluid in the stomach. In addition, the diatom in the corpse was identified as the same as the diatom in the water sample. These signs all confirmed that Luther drowned in that small pond. (Crepitus: A drowning person’s lungs fill up with fluid as they inhale large amounts of fluid. Forensic doctor used their hands to knead lung tissue, which feels like kneading a strand of hair. This feeling is called crepitus, which is used to diagnose whether there exist lung changes because of drowning.)
After two hous of anatomical examination, no other things were found except that Luther was confirmed he was died of drowning, which made Baron and I extremely depressed.
We used our hands to support the dissection table, we just stared at the body, suddenly, Baron got another idea.
I followed Baron’s eyes to look, Luther’s underarm color was abnormal, but could not be confirmed.
