The most experienced hunters stalk their prey like the patient wolves would track and circle the deer. And so did Alex. In a clearing in the dense jungle, he found his dinner. A herd of black grouse were gathering together, looking for worms. He crept up to them, and reached his hand slowly over his back.
When the grouses had spotted a man with a shotgun taking aim, it was too late. The birds flew with a bang of a gun, except the one whose heart had been pierced through.
Some sods had been removed to make a place for the bonfire. After collecting the firewood and having the fire burning, the hunter knelt beside the animal carcass and commenced to skin it. Soon the meat was roasting in the fire, and the smell of roast chicken permeated the air.
