脊椎动物间的基因序列具有高度的保守性，根据已知物种的基因组序列，可以预测其他物种同源基因的基因序列。本研究利用人USF1基因序列，预测了猪USF1基因序列，并通过试验获得了相应的基因组序列。测序结果表明，所获得的候选基因的内含子和外显子组成及相对位置与预测结果一致，且内含子的剪接方式均符合“GT-AG”法则。
