The Sound of Silence(4)

“Why not? You know everyone’s heart.” The boy wondered.
“I never thought about mine,” the shepherd said, appeared in subtle grief. “I have been busy thinking others’ all the time, but I never thought about mine.”
“It is no big a deal,” the boy consoled him. “You must be familiar with every corner of the land. Take me to every place you know. You may find your True Heart, and I may find mine.”
For a short while they arrived at Pop Street. There were colorful disc shops and display stages alongside the lively street, and people gathered, squeezed, and walked back and forth. It was the biggest marketplace of various discs in the city.

 The brisk wind whirled through the boy’s ears, and brought him excitement and delight.
“Your True Heart may be there,” the boy said, and stopped a passerby. “Please pardon me. What are you doing here?”
The passerby replied, “I am here for the newly released album.”
He pointed at a digital billboard, in which a man dressed in flaring clothes was singing and dancing behind the screen. The crowd assembled before the billboard, like a flock of honeybees at a hive, screaming, hailing, and listening in deep intoxication.
