The Sound of Silence
The Sound of Silence
Daniel Liu
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.
It was morning when the boy stood before the gate of garden, and the haze was about to dissipate. The garden, with its gate covered with ivy, nestled in the center of the city.
The boy was new to this place, the Land of Music, which should have only existed in tales he used to listen to in his childhood. He heard that music, like all commonplaces he knew, was the thing people here can never be parted with, as air to us creatures. But he finally came to this land after a long and fantastic journey.
