我不记得我在哪里看到的了，说我们人类是一个非常社会化的种族，我们需要别人的反馈来保持理智。如果你把自己完全隔离社会几个月，就足够让你发疯了。这不是开玩笑，你可以说你把自己关在房间里，不和别人交流一整年，或者类似的事情，但如果你看看书，或者看看其他的东西，这就是你用来保持理智的一个参考物。我记得好像这篇文甚至还提到，即使你有大概10人左右的小团体，时间久了，这个也是不够的。我记得不那么清楚了，但有提到说竞技类游戏在太空任务中是禁止的，但合作类游戏，比如RPG桌游，都非常推荐。
