The Passage to Lusfield - 洛斯菲尔德之行(4)
Ruth and I were believers in a national religion called Ripenism, which dedicated human lives to human civilization's growth. Back in 1954, the missionary of the religion had a visit to our mansion, where slavery was revived secretly. They strongly appreciated my great-grandfather's emphasis on efficiency and domestic output over the little useless lives of human beings, who should be responsible for the lack of growth if the economy had deferred. Duke of Lusfield VI, my grandfather, came in contact with Ripenism, circa 2026. They talked about the future of civilization and the current cosmopolitan circumstances. His father was the eighth archbishop of Ripenism, coordinated by the government because of his cooperative attitude. The government, then, contributed to the religion for it to grow to the biggest or even the future national religion of the nation. My father was able to be onboard this ship of religious development and enlarged his plantation even more as his best friend Jenson Kilgore II helped Ripenism to become the largest religious organization in the whole of the nation. Me, after inheriting the properties of my family, was introduced to archbishop Kilgore, who is about the same age as me. Every member of my family was destined to follow this religion, as we formed mutualism in between.
