Although he was a Hu and had a low culture, all the above aspects showed that Shile was a good emperor. He had a generous character, but his strategy and military ability were slightly insufficient. He was not good at conquering and expanding the territory, and failed to unify the north and end the chaos of the Five Hu and Sixteen States. He failed to prevent high rank officials’ betrayal timely and effective and eventually led to chaos. If he had been in a peaceful and prosperous period or a bigger platform, his conduct and actions should have been able to govern the country well, and become an emperor praised by later generations. But he was in the time of five Hus and sixteen states, the world was in turmoil and many political powers were in place, so his deeds were almost drowned in the dust of history.
