It might seem that way and could very well be what hAppens but we have to remember one thing, this is Cuttlefish we’re talking about. The author who loves to make us think we’ve started to figure out what’s going on just to pull the rug out from under us and the mind behind the conundrum that is Amon. I feel like the whole scene with Dorian and the other Abraham family members was written to purposefully portray foreshadowing but not in a way so heavy that it feels like it will definitely hAppen. One possibility is that this Verdu guy doesn’t actually release bethel’s seal but in an attempt to investigate some Seer and Marauder demigods simply to have the info for potential future use accidentally catches the attention of some Outer Deity cults who than get the ritual details from him and then they release the seal. Kind of a convoluted idea but sometime you have to be try to figure Cuttlefish out. I probably still will end up getting it wrong anyway but whatever, I have fun with it.
