After he was sure she hadn’t interrupted him, he continued. “And uh, I know your name is Uraraka Ochako, but I’ve been told you prefer to be called Uraraka. So yeah. I was hoping maybe, um, I mean I didn’t know you would be here, but I was hoping maybe we could be friends?” He was almost babbling by the end of it. She had noticed that when she talked to him, but now it seemed more obvious.
Her eyes were wide. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Was he asking her to be his friend? Did he really mean it? She wanted to say yes, but she couldn’t. Because… because she wasn’t sure if she could trust him. There was still so much about him that she didn’t know. He was unpredictable and moody and angry. What if she ended up being his enemy? She’d never even met him! How would she know if he was trustworthy or not? She’d have to be careful.

Even so, he had asked her to be his friend. And she really wanted that.
