Imma drop this novel straightaway despite loving it so far if mind control powers are so OP they're impossible to defend against, even on the same level and with time and knowledge to prepare for it. Not even kidding I hate abuse of mind control tropes that much.

Well Klein also do mind control though. Granted right now him making someone his marionette seemed more like Borg assimilation to the hive but it is very similar to controlling them mentally and look how overpowered Klein is in comparison to others.
