Right now he got something for nothing. He's in a very advantageous situation where if he wants things from Nast he can slowly release "clues" and information. Or he can ignore Nast from now on. My impression is he will honor the deal to an extent, but only when it's most beneficial to Klein

If he tried to trade anything at the spot, Nast would have grasped that this Bizarro Sorcerer was in possession of the BE Card, thus giving him a reason to atack Klein in the liner. Klein was smart and didn't fall because of greed

If Nast had met the person before then the persons greeting would have been different. klein was just probing for new information. Nast at this moment could be at least sequence 3 or 2 with plenty of experience and accumulated artifacts. Exchanging high level formulas of black Emperor pathway would bring unnecessary risks. Klein has much safer channels of trade one of whom is Bernadette who is on the same level as Nast.
