Chapter Five(12)
The tower that the young boy who resembled Will stood before along with a girl.
Did Cecy believe in coincidence? That she might dismiss the familiarity between the three towers so easily, even though she had seen the latter two, standing in front of the former?
She believed that she didn’t believe in chance, but at that point she hesitated. Can everything that happened recently be explained by chance? She did not know.
Sunlight broke through Cecy’s illusion, drowning the unexplained and terrible vision, warmth replacing the searing heat of flames, blue sky replacing darkness, surrounding her with relief.
As her eyesight dimmed once more, she fell face down into reality.
Coolness touched her fingertips, and she blinked.
The metal gate, rust creating the roughness, uneven and so incredibly real under her fingertips, unlike the movie-like world of destruction and the almost ghost-like flames.
