Chapter Five(2)
Sunlight that poured with so much warmth from up high, the sky was blue and clouds were so far away, surrounded by the sweet scent of open blossoms, and the smell of ripening seeds, it was so beautiful that Cecy could have believed that it was a dream.
Would have believed it if someone told her.
Except that her dreams weren’t as calm and peaceful as the place she was in.
She took a few steps forward involuntarily, as if trying, childlishly, to embrace the sunlight, which was just a beam of light that cannot be caught, after all.
And then she glanced sideways, where Will should be, and found him behind her, glancing at the surroundings with a distracted expression. She presumed that he was marveling at the beauty, but that wasn’t right, he brought her here, didn’t he? So he must have known where this was.
‘Hey,’ Cecy turned back towards him, and hesitantly tugged softly on his left arm. His expression cleared swiftly, and turned towards her as well, with a polite smile that he had worn when Lydia first introduced them. ‘Sorry, I got distracted, and I know you have many questions. But...’
