There was the Druid Guardian, standing with one hand on Alvin and one hand on Hiccup, like an ancient pair of scales. And then Hiccup slowly, slowly rose up, and levitated in the air, magically, with no visible means of support, as if he were being picked up by the hand of a giant invisible god…
