A ship was the obvious place to hide them, so that if they were attacked they could quickly carry them to a new hiding place. The Things must be right here on this ship… 
There was a clatter of feet on the platform behind them, and a third Alvinsman came climbing up the ladder, a burly man with a large yellow moustache.
