Speaking of Fidelius Charm, why do the Potters not set themselves as the Secret Keeper? Other theories deduced that Professor Dumbledore was not made the Secret Keeper due to being one for the headquarter of the order. Then why would the Potters not just self-assign but rather choosing their friend, Peter Pettigrew? It would be the most secure way of hiding oneself then without worrying about information leaking since Fidelius Charm is broken on sharing the information willingly rather than forcefully.
Thirdly, why is Hagrid assigned to fetch Harry instead of others? Any member of the order who knows Apparition would be faster and safer from possible Death Eaters’ attack instead of riding a flying motorcycle through the air. Surely side-along apparition is possible for children and even baby since the Ministry of Magic encouraged it after the return of Voldemort. If not, shouldn’t a Portkey also be ok? Members of the Order could be busy catching the Death Eaters along with the Aurors but I believe they can spare one or two people for the important task of securing “The Chosen One”, besides Hagrid.
