前传4—Unwritten Rules不成文的规则(7)
As we looked around it felt as though time had stopped. The coast was both familiar and strange simultaneously, I guess like when you look in a mirror after a haircut-- it's the same, but also different. The cliff-lined coast reminded me of some of the islands back at home, the bigger ones farther inside the region, but the stone seemed just different enough. The foliage sprouting from the tops of those cliffs were just enough of a different shade of green, the leaves just enough of a different shape, height, organization, I could go on.
I came to as my sister tugged my arm with a look of concern.
"Ah, sorry, I just..." I trailed off, unable to finish my thought.
"It's different enough," she replied.
"...Yeah."
Short and to the point, but even today that's probably the best way I could describe it.
As we both took our first steps forward time seemed to slowly resume and the noise of the other passengers grew back to its true volume.
