The captain thought for a while, she then laughed: “It is settled; we will choose post war tanks as well. This time, we can really rock this show.” She turned to one of the newbie, “Hey, Kay! Maybe your Darjeeling will love you in a bigger tank eh?” Kay blushed instantly, “Umm well, what tanks are we going to use then?” “How about a heavy tank for you. There is the M103 with its 120mm gun. That’ll suit you nicely, being able to hit a target from long range. And for the rest of us…

…I think we will use M48 Patton’s. It doesn’t make sense in using any of the older variants when we can afford so many of the newer ones. We might buy some M47 and M46 anyway, just to have round.”
In ST. Vic:
After training, Darjeeling, the girl was holding a gilded-edge teacup, went to the captain’s office and found Grey reading a book. “Captain? Please forgive me for my rude question, have you actually thought about the tanks we used? I mean……three in five are heavy tanks……is not quite your style.”
